22.-27.augustil on MÄRZis külalised Turust – toimub B-galleria korraldatav Kaasaegse kunsti laat. Turu omaalgatuslik B-galleria on juba mitu aastat korraldanud üritust Cheap Art Party eesmärgiga tutvustada noorte kunstnike loomingut ja kutsuda nii kunstnikke kui vaatajaid ja ostjaid mõtlema kaasa galerii funktsiooni ja kunsti müügiprotsessi teemadel. Cheap Art Party toimus Turus ka sel suvel, 15.-23. juulini, kus arvukatele kohalikele lisaks osalesid seekord MÄRZi kuraatorite valikul ka Eesti kunstnikud. Kaasaegse kunsti laada eesmärgiks on pakkuda mitmekesist valikut kvaliteetset, kuid taskukohast kaasaegset kunsti. Teosed ulatuvad kujutavast kunstist performance´i ja sound art´ini.

Present Time Art Fair
Present Time Art Fair is a continuum for Turku Tallinn Cheap Art Party organized from 15th to 23rd of July. This affordable art sale event organized by Finnish contemporary culture association Suunnitelma B (B gallery) presented Finnish and Estonian contemporary art. Art works from both countries were on display in B gallery in Turku, Finland from 15th to 22nd of July 2011. Estonian exhibition is also a continuum for a new small-scale urban festival Present Time Art Fair that took place in B-gallery from 29th of June till 3rd of July.
The idea of the project is to present a diverse selection of both high-standard but affordable art. In addition to built cooperation between B-gallery and März project apace. We wanted to question the idea that art should be valued by its price. When prices of the art works vary between 0 to 50 Euros both artist and the viewer have to rethink the concept of sales/exhibition gallery. There are no restrictions; we welcome all the representative art forms from visual to performance to sound art.
Works were chosen by Suunnitelma B association. The work selection is done on behalf of the B-gallery by Maria Junno and Ingrid Orman.

Audiovisual recording of the 5 day long happening Nykyaikamarkkinat. The reconstruction of past times is the theme of several domestic summer events. The non-profit art gallery B-galleria in Turku takes a much closer look; what are present times, and how can one categorize them? The audience had five days to consider the essence of the contemporary. The cultural fest included live music, performances, discussions, exhibitions and workshops.

Discussion evening on Saturday, Aug 27th at 7pm about issues in selling contemporary art.
